The map grew. Region 3 opens twelve seas for captains from level 20 to 37: from Woodcutters' Cove to Turtle Atoll, from the Clove Isles to the Cinnamon Coast, from the Twin Lights to the Ice Blades and the Blue Glacier, all the way to the Sea of Calms and the Trade Winds Passage.
There the sea is open to captain-versus-captain combat, and two new bosses live there: the Spice Octopus, which takes three to five captains, and the Silent Galleon, which takes four to five. Like every boss, they heal if the group runs off to repair.
Treasure maps have arrived too. The pieces drop from treasure chests and from dives into sunken hulls, and the diver gives you one free dive a day. With the map complete, you go in alone to an area of your own, beat the waves, face the guardians and open the treasure: diamonds, rare weapons, strong consumables, gold and ammunition. If you sink in there, you go back to port without the map, but with what you earned in the waves you beat.
Whoever is arriving now starts at Lighthouse Cove, a training-only map: fourteen steps that only move on when you actually do what they teach.
And the open sea skulls gained ten ranks with an insignia, shown above your name on the map if you want.
Update: since October 8 there are twenty ranks, and they come from captain-combat points, not from skulls. They go up and can also fall. Skulls are now only the currency of the skull shop.
