The calendar
Each event runs for 45 days, then there are 5 days off, and the themes always rotate in the same order: Fúria da Águia, Retorno Fantasma, Sangue do Dragão, Lua de Sangue and Garras de Leão. Each edition has seven named weeks, and the last one, the Final Tide, pays double for daily tasks. The countdown to the next event and the dates are under Events and in the calendar.
During the event, 20% of each sea's enemies turn into themed enemies, in every sea in the world, and the deeper the sea, the tougher they get.
The five themes
- Fúria da Águia, Esquadra do Penacho. Currency: Rêmiges. Ship: Águia-real.
- Retorno Fantasma, Cortejo dos Afogados. Currency: Óbolos. Ship: Agouro.
- Sangue do Dragão, Ninhada da Serpe. Currency: Fagulhas. Ship: Serpe.
- Lua de Sangue, Caçadores da Lua Rubra. Currency: Pérolas rubras. Ship: Carmim.
- Garras de Leão, Frota da Juba. Currency: Presas. Ship: Leoa.
Each theme has its own enemies, its own cannon, a set of parts and its own shot, which deals double damage to that theme's enemies. Each fleet's story is in the lore.
The event currency
You only earn the event currency by playing, and it's never sold, not even for diamonds. It comes from event enemies, tasks, bosses and battlegrounds. Ordinary enemies near your level also have a 25% chance to drop one. Currency from kills is capped at 150 a day, and the other sources have no cap. In a group, everyone gets the full amount.
The shop stays open through the break and closes when the next edition begins. Whatever you have left turns into gold, at 25 per unit.
Tasks and milestones
Every day brings three tasks, and every week brings three more:
- Caçada do dia (daily): 15 currency
- Rotina de bordo (daily): 10 currency
- Tarefa do dia (daily): 10 currency
- Temporada de caça (weekly): 60 currency
- Contra o chefe (weekly): 60 currency
- Em boa companhia (weekly): 60 currency
Every bit of currency you earn also adds points, which are never spent. Points carry you through 10 milestones, from 100 to 4,800 points, that hand out ammunition, items, materials, seals, set parts of your choice and, at the last one, the event pennant and diamonds.
Event bosses
Each theme has a boss in three sizes. They show up on a fixed schedule, with a warning 10 minutes ahead, and stay at sea for 20 minutes:
- Minor boss (Angra dos Pinhais): at 01h, 04h, 07h, 10h, 13h, 16h, 19h and 22h, Brasília time.
- Middle boss (Mar do Sincelo): at 03h, 07h, 11h, 15h, 19h and 23h, Brasília time.
- Major boss (Cabo da Aurora): at 03h, 09h, 15h and 21h, Brasília time.
The major boss calls for a whole fleet of end-game captains. Each captain gets the event reward from up to 3 bosses a day. The seas for the minor and middle bosses can change from one theme to the next, but the schedule is the same for all of them.
The ranking
Event points make up the ranking, and you get on it from 100 points. First place takes the gold insignia, 2nd to 10th get silver, and everyone up to 100th gets bronze. On a tie, whoever reached the score first wins. The ranking is just for bragging rights and gives nobody extra power.
World events
Outside the calendar, the sea also stirs on its own. Every so often, with 5 minutes' warning, a sea gets a pirate invasion, a rare monster or a merchant convoy. Everyone who helps earns gold and experience for the damage they dealt, and a rich chest is left at sea for whoever is around. Seas with more captains get picked more often.
